高校海外語学研修No.8

昨日はネイチャーウォークでカナダの大自然に触れ溜まってきた疲れも吹き飛んだようです。出国前に心配された山火事の影響も現地では全くなく、美味しい空気を吸う事が出来ています。ラクロス体験をして帰りのバスの中では皆、良い夢を見ていたようです。

みんなから話を聞いているとホームステイ先での生活が分かって良いです。

「ラーメンを作ってふるまいました」「洗濯は週に２回やってくれます。乾燥機にかけて乾かすので、お気に入りの服は別にしてほしいと自分で言いました」「豊山生同士、同じ部屋で過ごしているのですが、相方は早々に寝てしまいます」「夕食の後に買い物に行って生活用品を買ってきました」「スペイン語のスラングを習いました」

「朝と夜に音楽がかかっている家でちょっと迷惑」という人には、自分が迷惑に思っていることを伝えて解決するよう伝えています。

「ビーガンの家庭でお肉があまり出てこない」という人には、自分でリクエストすることも勉強！と背中を押しています。

カナダで起こった出来事で自分もしくは自分たちで解決できることは、こちらが関与して解決したくはありません。保護者会でもありましたが、カナダでのことはカナダで全て終結させて帰ってもらいます。語学研修という性質上、カナダの文化に触れながら、不具合は自分で解決する姿勢を身につけてもらっています。

残すところあと２日となったホームステイ。最後の最後までカナダでしか出来ないことにチャレンジしていってほしいと考えています。頑張れ、豊山生！！

さて、今日の授業の内容です。

午前の授業はカナダの生き物と食べ物について学び、カフートを使ってクイズに挑戦しました。

午後のアクティビティはカーリングとホストファミリーへのサンキューレター。

カーリングは氷上ではなく陸上でも出来るように車輪がついたストーンを投げます。これが大盛り上がり。一投一投集中して、バディの子たちと一緒に真剣勝負をします。なかなか日本では経験しない遊びです。

サンキューレターは、書き方の見本を見せてもらいながら、どんな内容で手紙を書けば良いのかヒントをもらいました。既に自分で準備していた人もいたようですが、より良い贈り物が出来たことと思います。

最後はスカベンチャーハント。グエルフ大学構内を歩きながらクイズに答えていきます。先日も別のクイズを使って行いましたが、良い気候の下で活動することが出来ました。身体を動かしたい人が多くいますので、ありがたいイベントです！

Canada is so fun.There are new discoveries every day.When,Idon’t know English knowledge.Canada’s people is so kind.It is important to express your own opinion.

I could feel nature.I was surprised that the squirrel was close to me.It was fun to go to the beach.

Canadian is very friendly.All snacks here is too big and sweet.It’s cold at night in Canada.

I was scared when I was in Japan, but when I met him, he was very friendly and I was happy to talk to me.It was a good memory to let me ride a canoe.I’m really glad to meet this family.

During my language study program in Canada, I was struck by how kind the people are.Since Canada is a multicultural nation, Canadians treat Japanese people as equals without looking down on us.There are also many friendly people who approach me in a casual and welcoming way, so I was able to interact with them without feeling too nervous.I want to talk to more Canadians and get to know them better.I love Canada so much.

On Saturday.I talked with host mother about favorite musicians and dream for the future.It took us two hours of chatting.Host mother is kind and friendly.On Sunday.I took part in the pool party.It was very exciting.I will never forget this Sunday.Canadian culture is amazing.But,I want to drink カルピス and eat 豚汁 and ほっけ in Japan.
